Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We may keep an email or direct message long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within our organization unless a valid legal duty requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers can automatically receive basic technical and usage details:

Public access to government records is governed by authorities such as Iowa Code chapter 22, while criminal-history dissemination follows chapter 692. Those government systems are separate from this site's visitor data. We are not a consumer reporting agency, and visitor information is not turned into a consumer report or a file about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the embedded search tools. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing practices apply to information entered there. We do not control those rules. Review the provider's policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to sheriff pages, court portals, Iowa agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination's own privacy policy governs the visit. Check it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted ads. Their tracking is not operated by us.
